NORTHCOAST GLASS
Shot on Sony FS5 with classic Nikkor Lens
NORTHCOASTGLASS is a small glassblowing studio based in the Highlands of Scotland, but their works of art can be found in homes around the world. In fact not only homes, they have been commissioned to produce glass works for TV, film and galleries as well.
The team, lead by Brodie Nairn and Nicky Burns, have explored all sorts of unique ways of casting, blowing shaping and sculpting glass and it was a pleasure to work with them to develop this short film to launch the brand (they originally worked under the name GLASSTORM).
We went for a soft look, with blooming colours. I shot on a set of classic Nikkor lenses, wide open at 1.4f and 1.8f. Graded in DaVinci Resolve.
My goal is to deliver the best creative imagery and video content possible. Based in the Highlands of Scotland photography, film and image making have been a large part of my life for the last 15 years. It gives me a reason to travel, a opportunity for adventure and way of cataloging life as it passes us by.
